Jorge Solis is a 20 year-old sophomore, majoring in Multimedia Journalism with a minor in Secondary Education. Born in Los Angeles, CA, he stayed there for only four years before moving to Grafenwöhr, Germany due to his father serving in the U.S. Army. He moved to El Paso in 2013 at the age of 11. He has lived there ever since, growing and learning and discovering his interests and passions for politics (especially civil rights issues), writing, photography, and poetry. He joined the Minero Magazine staff in the Fall of 2021. He aspires to be a writer for the Los Ángeles Times.
