Adam Regalado, Editor-in-Chief

Adam Regalado is a senior at the University of Texas at El Paso, currently majoring in multimedia journalism with a minor in women’s studies. He is editor-in-chief After discovering his passion for journalism through The Prospector, Adam has gone to intern for The Texas Standard.

Abril Garcia, Art Director

Abril Garcia is a 20-year-old Graphic Design major born and raised in El Paso. She started working as the art director when she entered UTEP in Fall 2022. Garcia hopes to improve her design skills to build her portfolio and have a chance to enter in the design and marketing industry. She also wishes to practice her typography skills and show them through the magazine.

Iziah Moreno, Photo Editor

Iziah Moreno is a junior at UTEP majoring in media advertising. He is the photo editor for Minero Magazine. He hopes to continue working in the world of media.

Sofia Sierra, Editor-in-Chief

Sofia Sierra is a senior at UTEP majoring in multimedia journalism and creative writing. She is the editor-in-chief for Minero Magazine. After graduating, she hopes to pursue a career in print journalism.

Avery Escamilla-Wendell, Web Editor

Avery Escamilla-Wendell is a senior at The University of Texas at El Paso, currently majoring in multimedia journalism with a minor in film. She is the web and social media editor at Minero Magazine. This fall, she will be interning at PBS El Paso.

Gael Araiza, Art Director

Gael Araiza is a senior at UTEP majoring in graphic design and minoring in communication studies. He is the art director for Minero Magazine and also serves as the online editor and English copy editor. He hopes to one day work in a in a multimedia design role.
